The BOCES Board is looking to fill four seats that are open for election on April 25,

2017. One three-year term position is open and currently held by an Albany County

resident, Mr. John Phelan, who is also a Guilderland resident. Nominations for the open

seat are due by March 24, 2017.

 

It is recommended that the Board of Education pass the following resolution:

 

RESOLVED, that pursuant to §1950 of Education Law, the Guilderland Central School

District is nominating John T. Phelan as a candidate to serve for a three-year term (July 1,

2017 through June 30, 2020) on the Albany-Schoharie-Schenectady-Saratoga BOCES

Board as an Albany County representative, if elected.

 

Note: §1950 of Education Law states that: Nominations of a person to be elected to a

board of cooperative educational services shall be made by at least one component district by resolution. Such resolution shall be transmitted in writing to the Clerk of the Board of Cooperative Educational Services at least thirty days prior to the date of the election.

(Election date: Tuesday, April 25, 2017).
